Archery - Olympics 2012

Archery – Olympics 2012

I was sorry to see #ArcheryGB drop out of the team events over the weekend but I’m looking forward to the individual events and some good results – best channel for those with time is BBC Olympic 3 channel (452 on Sky HD), some great coverage and wonderful slow motion shots.  It is all super motivational.

It was also good to see Google getting in on the action and sporting on lovely archery related image on their search page over the weekend – Go Google – Go Archery GB!!

On the upside, the television coverage and Olympic buzz is definitely having an effect on Archers of Raunds club enquiries.  Three new enquiries this morning alone, following the exciting archery action over the weekend.  Following a strong first half of the year for AoR, we now just need to invest in more beginners bows, something that will be happening in September when we receive our Sport England Lottery grant.

If you are interested in having a go at archery, or you know of anyone that might be interested, please contact Martyn on archersofraunds@hotmail.co.uk and we’ll see how quickly we can accommodate you.
